About The Event
Tea at the Derby is a joyful and welcoming afternoon designed to bring women and girls (ages 12 and up) together in fellowship, laughter, and meaningful reflection. Guests will be welcomed with a fascinator at their place setting, enjoy beautifully prepared tea, sandwiches, and sweet treats, and leave with a thoughtfully curated goody bag as a small reminder of the day.
At the heart of the afternoon is a special presentation by Barb Sanders, Out of Africa, where Barb shares reflections on growing up as the child of missionaries. Her story invites us to reminisce about our own childhood memories of faith—moments at home, church, or special places that quietly shaped who we are today.
The afternoon will also include lighthearted games and table conversations guided by gentle icebreaker questions, creating space for connection across generations. Throughout the event, the focus remains on fellowship, encouragement, and the shared joy of gathering together…
